Who We Are
Rural Farmers Support Network (RFSN) is a non-profit grassroots based organization, created to work with rural Farmers in Cameroon through sensitization campaigns on the management of the labelling of agriculture input chemicals, feed them with new farming techniques and innovations, and give rural Farmers material support. We also support rural Farmers who are victims of disasters like landslides and floods with inputs. Above all, we bridge the communication gap that the less educated and illiterate rural farmers face during cultivation of crops, that affect the quantity and quality of output in rural agriculture in Cameroon. All this is a war launched against food insecurity in rural agriculture in Cameroon.

Our Vision
Through our activities, we have as vision, to reduce the illiteracy rate among rural farmers on the management of the labelling of agriculture input chemicals, educate them with new farming techniques and innovations, and give them material support, with the end result to ensure food security and healthy food output that will ensure a better health for both the producers (local farmers) and the consumers.
Our Activities
Our activities focuses on rural farmers sensitization, agricultural seminars, farm activities follow up, provision of information, training on new farming techniques, and material support.
Our Objectives
We combat food insecurity in rural agriculture.
1) We decode some abbreviations and formulae and even translate them into vernacular for rural Farmers to understand them better.
2) We train them on how to protect their bodies when handling agric input chemicals and how to take a position from the direction of the breeze when spraying.
3) We equally educate them on different types of fertilizers containing different compositions, what specific crops to apply specific fertilizers on, what season, what type of fertilizer to apply, how to apply it and how to manage the withdrawal period that is totally absent from fertilizers.
4) We also educate them on systemic and contact types of fungicides and how to best use them to combat black pot diseases.
5) We guide them on how to manage agric input chemicals on crops so as to limit some health hazards after consumption of crops with active chemicals.
6) We support them with agric input chemicals, good seeds, body protection materials and other farming tools.
7) We further unite rural farmer into common initiative group so that they can collectively buy inputs and sell output at better prices.
8)Moreover we link rural Farmers to other supportive NGOs and government support programs to rural Farmers to boost rural agriculture.
9) Above all we give them day-to-day information about new farming techniques and evolution in agricultural chain.
Our Core Values
We are special in the sense that we fight against food insecurity in the domain of communication crackdown that distorts the smooth functioning of rural agriculture in Cameroon. This is a domain that most actors always neglect when fighting against food insecurity in rural agriculture in Cameroon. Therefore we stand as a communication bridge in rural agriculture in Cameroon.
